Sara Birns

Sara Birns oil paints figures that aim make the viewer uncomfortable. Often an exaggerated versions of reality with the ugly sides of humans and animals alike, yet there is something refreshingly human about being exposed to and confronting these normally over-looked sides of life in such a beautiful, detailed oil painting.

Sara talks about her past gallery shows that have featured everywhere from online to Italy, her mentors, the paranormal, John C. Lilly, the importance of surrounding yourself with what you love, and what she’s looking forward to next in her career.
