23 ZPP Guests Released Music in 2023
As we buckle up for 2024, we decided to celebrate 2023 by compiling over 8 hours worth of new material that our past guests released this last year - coincidentally 23 artists put out something new! This Texas based guitarist released her third full length album, The Blowback. Emily was featured in episode 068.
This guitarist (who also had his Grand Ole Opry debut this year) released his first solo album, Wild & Precious Life. Duane was featured in episode 056.
This Brooklyn based heavy metal band released their third album Desiderium. Phil and Justin discussed the recording when they were featured in episode 062.
This Mongolian folk metal band famous for their use of throat singing and traditional instrumentation released a deluxe edition of 2022’s Rumble of Thunder. In addition to featuring collaborations with members of System of a Down, Alice in Chains, & Bad Wolves, the release features acoustic versions of the albums’ tracks. Enkhsaikhan “Enkush” Batjargal who performs throat singing and the morin khuur was featured in episode 031.
Famed for his role with iconic stoner metal bands Kyuss and Fu Manchu, Brant Bjork continues to re-release remastered albums from his impressive solo catalog, this year tackling Saved By Magic Again. Brant is featured in episode 069.
A prolific rock guitarist most famous for his work in Supertramp, Carl Verheyen released the album Riverboat Sky. Carl was featured in episode 033.
This thrash metal outfit from Ontario, Canada released their third album, Triumph and Torment. 3 of the 4 band members discussed the album prior to it’s (at the time) upcoming release in episode 054.
Featuring Mike Dillon, Brian Haas, and Nikki Glaspie - Punkadelick released the album Inflorescence. Mike spoke a bit about the recording when he was featured in episode 046.
This doom metal trio from Boise, Idaho released their third full length album Wound. Chad Remains and Brandon Walker were featured in episode 030.
Fronted by Santa Cruz firefighter Ryan Masters, Smoke Chaser released an album Azapul. Ryan was featured in episode 044.

This grind-core crew from Massachusetts dropped a holiday treat with two singles “Meat Magnet” (featuring Barney Greenway of Napalm Death) and “Ball and Chain”. Drummer Jesse Fuentes was featured in episode 038.
Wino’s legendary stoner metal band released “Stoned Back to the Bomb Age”, the first single from their upcoming album Gilded Sorrow expected in February 2024. The band was featured in episode 053.

This stoner metal trio released a single “Don’t Watch The Feet”. Guitarist / vocalist Pat Harrington was featured in episode 058.
Solo project of Niklas ‘Dango’ Källgren of the Truckfighters, Enigma Experience released an instrumental single “Mighty Mind”. Dango was featured in episode 064.
