ANEURSYM - HIPPIE DEATH CULT

The Portland-based stoner rock trio released a cover of the Nirvana classic to coincide with massive Summer & Fall tours of Europe and North America respectively. Guitarist Eddie Brnabic was featured in ZPP 092.

THE RETURN OF TOMORROW - FU MANCHU

The So Cal Stoner Rock legends went big with a double-album for their 13th studio release. Longtime drummer Scott Reeder was featured in ZPP 90.

BURIED ALIVE - SLEEPWELL

Defying genres and simmering with an onslaught of devastating breakdowns, this EP is only the second release by the up & coming Brooklyn behemoth. Barrett, Nacho, & Cole were featured in their first ever interview as a band in ZPP 88.

GARDEN OF HEATHENS - HEAVY TEMPLE

Having solidified a line-up featuring Baron Lycan and Lord Paisley, the Philadelphia-based stoner metal trio unleashed their second full-length LP. Frontwoman High Priestess NightHawk dives into the writing and recording process on ZPP 86.

ep(ilogue) - DEAP VALLY

Before launching the European leg of their farewell tour, Lindsey Troy & Julie Edwards kept their foot on the gas towards the sunset by surprise dropping this EP.

KILL THE LOVE - EMILY WOLFE

The Austin Texas based guitar goddess dropped this incendiary single in May. Emily was featured in ZPP 68.

SISTRIONIX 2.0 - DEAP VALLY

Before embarking on their farewell tour, Lindsey Troy & Julie Edwards released an incendiary re-recording of their debut album Sistrionix. Lindsey & Julie are featured in ZPP 76.

THE WAY FORWARD - BLACK TUSK

Black Tusk’s signature swamp metal sound is alive and well on the first single release “Brushfire”. Guitarist and recording audio engineer Scary was featured in ZPP 67.

LIVE AT GLASTONBURY - THE HU

The Mongolian outfit famous for incorporating traditional instruments and throat-singing “hunnu” rock released a live album of their 2023 performance at the iconic Glastonbury festival. Morin player & vocalist Enkhsaikan “Enkush” Batjargal was featured in ZPP 31.

on AUDIOTREE LIVE! - TEEN MORTGAGE

The DC Fuzz Punks released a full live album of session performances from their self-titled compilation released earlier this year. Drummer Edward Barakauskas was featured in ZPP 82.

I GOT A WEAPON - KING TIDE

A thundering single from our favorite Santa Cruz rock band. Guitarist & Vocalist Daniel Nemire is a close friend of the show, having been featured in both ZPP 26 and back in the Breaking North days on EP 13.

INTERSTELLAR COSMIC BLUES & RIFFALICIOUS STONER DUDES - GEEZER / ISAAK

This split EP showcases stoner rock sounds from Heavy Psych Sounds’ acts Geezer and Isaak. Pat Harrington of Geezer was featured in ZPP 58.

FOGGY DEW - OSYRON

The Canadian symphonic metal band covered a traditional Irish classic. Vocalist Reed Alton was featured in ZPP 66

DDEEAATTHHMMEETTAALL - ESCUELA GRIND

The staggeringly productive grindcore outfit kicked off the year with an EP of their swing at death metal. Drummer Jesse Fuentes was featured back in ZPP 38.

TIME, LOVE, & TENDERNESS - OSYRON

The Canadian symphonic metal band continue their series of covers with this Michael Bolton hit. Vocalist Reed Alton was featured in ZPP 66

CHAMPION - MICHAEL WILBUR

The prolific multi-instrumentalist best known for his energetic saxophone skills released this single. Michael was featured in ZPP 84.

DROWN - SPLIT PERSONA

This kickass rock band out of Reno dropped an EP in April - rhythm guitarist & lead vocalist Zander Hoschak was featured in ZPP 48.

HATEBREEDER - INVICTA

The Canadian thrash metal crew dropped a cover of the legendary Children of Bodom track. Kyle, Jonah, & Steve were featured in ZPP 54.

YOUNG - LIZZIE DARK0

Described as everything from bubble-grunge to dark lo-fi pop, Brooklyn’s fantastically fashionable Dark0 was featured in ZPP 65.

PACKAGE PT. 2 - GUSTAF

This Brooklyn-based band is best known for their danceable, ESG-inspired post / art punk. Drummer Melissa Lucciola was featured in ZPP 89.

PURGATORY - the MYSTERY LIGHTS

The Brooklyn-based retro-psychedelic rock outfit returns with their third full length LP (their first since 2019). Vocalist Mike Brandon was featured in ZPP 87.

BEYOND THIS FICTION - WHITE HILLS

Described as everything from krautrock post-punk to psychedelic goth metal, the NYC based duo of Dave W. and Ego Sensation released the first single “Fiend” in July. Dave W. was featured in ZPP 73.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE DESERT - BRANT BJORK TRIO

Famous for his stints with KYUSS and FU MANCHU, the ever prolific disciple of the desert dropped “Backin’ The Daze” from an album with his epnonymous trio including the talents of Mario Lalli and Ryan Gut. Brant was featured in ZPP 69.

GRAVESIDE GRIN - LEATHER LUNG

The Massachusetts-based substance-fueled boogie-metal band step up their game with this full-length LP. Vocalist Mike Vickers was featured in ZPP 81

GILDED SORROW - THE OBSESSED

Wino’s legendary stoner metal band released the album Gilded Sorrow in February. The entire band was featured in ZPP 053.

TEEN MORTGAGE - TEEN MORTGAGE

The DC fuzz punks combined their King Pizza releases (EPs Life/Death + Smoked along with several singles) all into one epic 17-song compilation packed onto a single vinyl. Drummer Edward Barakauskas was featured in ZPP 82.

DILUTED - KATE BRUNOTTS

The Brooklyn-based ethereal synth-pop artist dropped an EP highlighted by a haunting single “No One Cares”. Kate was featured in ZPP 59.

79 A.E. - CLOUDS TASTE SATANIC

The instrumental satanic doom metal crew dropped two new tracks - both clocking in at 21+ minutes long! Our conversation with their guitarist Steve is sadly one of the only two interviews we’ve lost due to technical difficulty.

MANDATORY REPORTER - VINCENT BLACKSHADOW

The Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist followed up 2023’s Burn Out Loud with the second of a planned trio of albums recorded on the East Coast. Vincent was featured in ZPP 72.

MOTOMAMI - AUTHOR & PUNISHER

San Diego’s one-man industrial metal project dropped this unexpected cover of the hit by Spanish icon Rosalía. Tristan was featured in ZPP 78.

ALWAYS WATCHING YOU - ESCUELA GRIND

A single from the as of now un-named album planned for release later this year. Escuela’s drummer Jesse Fuentes was featured in ZPP 38.

YESTERDAY’S PROBLEM - MOON HOOCH

The Brass-House act famous for busking NYC subways released this album in June headlined by single “Nostrovia”. Sax player Michael Wilbur was featured in ZPP 84.

COLORS FADE - DUANE BETTS

Soulful southern rock guitarist Duane Betts released this stripped down acoustic version of a stand-out track from his 2023 album “Wild and Precious”. Duane was featured in ZPP 56.

QUEEN OF SPADES - OSYRON

The Canadian symphonic metal band continue their series of singles with this Styx cover. Vocalist Reed Alton was featured in ZPP 66

SNAKES IN THE GRASS - MATT YONGE

Matt Yonge has dabbled in everything from photography to directing - he dropped this single in June. Matt was featured in ZPP 52.

SCREAMING STEEL - DURBIN

American Idol alum James Durbin released this gloriously glamourous metal album in February. James was featured in ZPP 079.
